Cecilie Everly
Partnering with coaches who specialize in helping mid-level managers make the leap from expert contributor to strategic leader.
Born and raised in Norway, Cecilie has spent most of her adult life in San Francisco and Boston. She brings a straightforward, grounded approach to leadership development, one that values shared responsibility, clear thinking, and getting to what actually matters.
With an MBA and 25 years of experience leading teams and driving change at Pearson, the world's largest education company, Cecilie knows firsthand what it means to lead through constant disruption. Her last 14 years there were spent managing teams through repeated restructurings, shifting strategies, multiple bosses, and waves of layoffs, all while working to keep people motivated and growing when morale was low. She has lived the tension of being excellent at the work while realizing that expertise alone won't carry you into broader leadership. She understands how easy it is to stay in your lane, over-function, and keep proving your worth through doing rather than leading.
That tension, and how to move through it, is the heart of her sprint coaching, and why CHROs find it so valuable across their talent strategy for mid-level managers (Sr. Managers and up).
Credentials & Approach
Cecilie is an ICF-certified coach (ACC) with coach education that meets the requirements for the PCC level. She is also pursuing certification in Systemic Team Coaching, an extension of her belief that teams, not just individuals, need support to navigate major change well. She draws on research-based frameworks to help clients uncover blind spots, shift limiting patterns, and build the capacities that distinguish great managers from great leaders.
At her core, Cecilie is curious about people and energized by change. She sees disruption as a chance to learn, not just something to survive, and that outlook shapes an approach that is practical, human, and results-oriented, built to create visible shifts in leadership presence and performance within a focused timeframe.
